Good documentation

changes the way people work.

I’ve stepped in to improve or build documentation to help people succeed in every role I’ve had. Now, it’s my entire focus.

With over 10 years of experience in translation and a background in biology, I’m driven by a fascination for complex systems and real care for the people who use them.

I’m a technical writer with a background in Japanese translation and biology, and a love for making the complex and foreign clear, familiar, and usable for the people who need it.

My 10+ years in translation shaped how I approach documentation: starting with empathy and curiosity for the audience, and the understanding that content is only useful if it's usable.

In practice, this means I pay as much attention to the structure of a document as I do to the clarity of its contents, ensuring it’s built to support how it will actually be used.

In past roles, I’ve worked on everything from 150-page operations manuals and high-stakes procedures to scientific SOPs and job aids in the restaurant industry, often stepping in when information was inconsistent, incomplete, or hard to use. My focus is on bringing structure to complexity, so people can find what they need, understand it quickly, and move forward with confidence.

Let's work together.
